The former district offices of the William S. Hart Union High School District will become the new home of Warrior Fitness & Wellness Camp.

The building, at 21515 Centre Pointe Parkway, sold last week for $3.2 million. It had been listed for $3.6 million. Warrior Fitness expects it to open this summer.

Warrior Fitness & Wellness combines aspects of a commercial gym and a weight-loss program, said Tchicaya Missamou, founder of Warrior. “We realized that we cannot focus only on fitness,” he said. “We must also work on wellness” with a focus on weight loss.

In my training, I strive to help each individual reach his or her fitness goals including weight loss, injury prevention/rehabilitation, improved sports performance through increased power, speed, endurance and agility.

I work with clients to set realistic, specific and quantifiable goals. I constantly evaluate body mechanics to make sure of proper posture and exercise efficiency.

The realization that good quality nutrition and tough workouts have such an important role in achieving health and physical fitness inspired me to become a personal trainer. I want to help people sort through all the misinformation out there on the subject of weight loss and fitness so they can develop a healthy and simple plan to reach their goals. I feel that the battle of achieving fitness goals could be so much easier if people learned exactly what to do and how to do it, and I want to show them through example. This approach will help them achieve and maintain their results for life.

I’ve been a Warrior for 3 years. Santa Clarita has been my home for years and it feels good to help those out in our community reach their fitness goals. Luis De Santiago has a Warrior mentality. Growing up he was raised in a tough environment with multitude of health and family issues. During his childhood years Luis was diagnosed with severe asthma and hospitalized five times in the ICU before the age of 13. Pushing through this was not easy but the lack of exercise capability coupled with various medications left him depressed and obese. 

   Luis decided to take a stand against his bleak outlook and take control of his eating habits. He was awarded a full ride scholarship to culinary school which gave him the skills to understand nutrition from a deeper level. He then received his Bachelors in Psychology giving him an empathetic view of addiction, depression, and the human capacity to change. 

      Luis De Santiago has gonna through the vigorous ups and downs, and now extends his knowledge to those who are willing to learn. His multidimensional respect for human change allows him to tap into the power of individual.
